My 3rd TLR - Ricohflex 理光双反相机。

I am actually keeping my Mamiya C330 for quite sometime. Till then I need to make a space for some other camera inside the dry box. And sold it to a friend of mine. Part of the reason I sold the Mamiya C330 was because of the weight. Another reason was I am wanted to try out the other TLR.

So I got a cheaper and basic TLR which made by Ricoh - Super Ricohflex. It is a light weight and small TLR to hold with. Ricoh started in 1936 and there were 19 models of  TLR were produced. Minolta was the manufacturer produced the most TLR. Ricoh was the second.

其实我用着玛米亚C330有一段时期。 直到有个朋友想买而我又在清理我的干箱。其实要把这玛米亚卖掉的其中一个原因是应为它太重了还有想买掉它而换架不一样的双反来试试。
之后我就进了架理光的双反-Ricohflex。它跟玛米亚比较的话，这可轻便又小架得多。理光创办于1936年，也是出产双反最多的其中一间公司之一。出产多达19款式之多。居于美能达之后。

This was the most beautiful piece I got so far. But there was a focusing problem and dust issue inside both lenses. Due to my full time job and I was fully occupied. This TLR was stayed inside my drybox for months till I had to let it go and sold it to a friend who just got into analogue camera. It is into good hand till now. My friend sent it for CLAed and got the focusing and lenses fixed. What I know a little bit of this TLR is the minimum focusing distance is 6-8 feet away.

这是我买了几架机以来状况最好的一架。不过它的对焦有点问题而且镜头有点尘而我忙于工作没时间送它去清洗。之后卖了给一位刚刚要学胶片机的朋友。我并没有真正的用过，只知道对焦最近的距离是6-8尺。请游览下面两个网站。里面分享了其美无比的照片。全部都是用这家理光双反来拍的。

Glad that Martin Reis from http://tlrclub.blogspot.com/ gave me the green light to share their photographs and other info. inside his blog. So from today onwards I will grab bit by bit of information and photographs about TLR to share in here.

I am admit that myself into this TLR just about a year + ago. I am still an amateur photographer as well as in TLR. If you have infor or photographs would like to share with me or public. Let me know then. I will help you to post in here. But if there is any mistake, please correct me too.

Here, I am sharing the way of how to photo-shoot by using TLR. If you have your own unique method to use TLR, please share with me and others.

My 2nd TLR - Mamiya C330 Professional 玛米亚C330。

After a month sold my Rolleicord, I was just can't wait and got myself another TLR. Which is Mamiya C330 Professional. It was came with the waist level finder and 80mm f2.8. Personally I felt that it was a heavy weight type of TLR. And it was not fun to hang on your neck for an hour or two and walking on the street. And yes, I carried to and went for jungle trekking for hours and hours.. What I like was the interchange lenses. But I had the 80mm f2.8 lens only at that moment. Yet to have a chance to try out other lenses. It is consider quite an affortable TLR with f2.8 lens if compare with Rolleiflex and other TLR with f2.8 lens.

卖了我的禄莱科德的一个月之后，急性子的我又再买下另一架双反相机。 那就是玛米亚C330。我个人认为这架是个重量级的双反相机。试想我曾经带着它去爬山好几个小时。这架采用磨砂聚焦屏俯视取景器跟80mm f2.8大光圈镜头。我也就是喜它可以更换镜头。只不过当时我只有那跟着来的80mm f2.8镜头。它是跟禄莱大光圈的双反比较来的便宜很多。

Film loading is quite easy. And the film counter will automatically reset to 1 once you close the film compartment. There is another advantage is, this TLR able to take 220 film which allow you take 24 exposures. But the 220 film has been stop in production. You are still able to get some expired film in the market. Let me introduce you a bit of this C series of Mamiya TLR. Mamiya first introduced the Mamiyaflex -C in 1957 till the last model of Mamiya C330S in 1983, total of 10 models like C1, C2, C3 C22, C33, C220. The most popular C series is this C330 which introduced in 1969. Supported 10 different types of lens from wide angle lens 55mm to 250mm long focus lens. Beside that, there are some accessories like the metering prism and handle bar which can be used on the most C series.

这架双反上片也算容易。过片记录也是全自动。它的另一个好处就是可以用220的胶片,那就是可以拍24张。不过220的胶片已经停产。你大可在市场上找到过期的来试试。让我在这来个简介。码米亚在1957年推出第一个Mamiyaflex C到1983年的Mamiya C330S 10个款式里，在1969年推出的C330是C系列里最受欢迎的一款。其他的镜头如广角镜55mm到250中长焦镜都可以通用在所有C系列的机身上。除此之外它还有其他零件如测光表跟手持旁握。

Next, I would like to share some of the photographs which taken by using this Mamiya C330. There are 2 types of film I am using at here. The first one is the Ilford FP4 Super and the second is the Ilford XP2 Super. Both were developed by lab but scanned by myself using Epson V700. No photoshop. But just cropped the the edge of the frame. There is disadvantages of sending the film to lab for develop. First, the worker will scratch your film like below. And none of them will responsible for that nowadays. Anyway, sometime the scratches giving me some soft of the vintage feeling which I usually saw from my parents' photography in 60s or 70s. (Did not keep the film properly) Second is you can't control the developing time on the film to get the effect you wanted to.

接下来我想分享我用了这架机拍的作品。我只用了依爾佛FP4跟XP2 Super两种胶片来拍。都是送去相店里冲洗。不过是自己用了Epson V700来扫描。没有经过修改。送去店有几个坏处。第一，店员会把你的胶片刮花。现在的那些员工都不会对着负责任。不过那些挂痕有时带来了些复古感。就像我爸妈在60跟70年代时的照片。(没有好好的照顾那些胶片的后果) 第二就是冲片时，我们没的掌握冲洗的时间。好让我们冲出我们要的效果。

My first TLR - Rolleicord IIb 我的第一架双反-禄莱科德。

I am always a guy who like something old and vintage. After my first touch with DSLR, I am moving backwards and got myself into film photography. Which I always thinking of I need to learn from the begining and learn from the basic. This is because of I am feeling like I am lack of something when I am into digital photography. An experience about the real photography by using film.....

So after a year of saving (yeah... I am a cheap labour with low pay) and did some research, I got myself a Rolleicord IIb which manufactured in year 1938. From wikipedia: The Rolleicord was a popular medium-format twin lens reflex camera made by Franke & Heidecke between 1933-1976. It is a cheaper version of Rolleiflex which aims at ameteur photographer who could not afford the expensive Rolleiflex. It is with a simplified version of film advance mechanism by using a knob intead of crank which found on Rolleiflex.

The Rolleicord I had was with a letter of DRGM on the left of the front camera which stand for Deutsches Reichs Geschmacks Muster (means German Design?) which made in somewhere World War II. With Zeiss Triotar 75mm f3.5 lens. It is required to reset the film counter after loaded the film. There is a small screw look alike button on the right side of the body which near the film counter (normally placing behind the focusing knob and don't lose this button). Just pull out a bit and the film counter will automatically jump to 1.

And there is no lock mechanism, so that it is very easy to have double or triple exposure accidently.

Mine was with a darker ground class due to age. Film advance giving me problem too. So, have to pay extra attention when advance the film. Else, it might overlap or gonna waste too much of gap in between 2 frames.

It was my first TLR. But I didn't keep it for long. Sold it after few months keeping it. But it was a simple and easy TLR to use. Suggest send to CLA ( Clean, Lubricate and Adjust) if you have any an old TLR at home. The shutter blade might stuck or not working in accurate speed if keeping in dry place for too long.

Perhaps, I will get another one in near future. Since the price is not so expensive and suitable for beginner.

我一直以来就是个喜欢些旧式的东西。自从有了数码单眼之后。感觉上好像少了些东西。我想应该是真正去体验用底片的感觉。所以我就回到原点从最基本开始。经过一年的储蓄(是啊。。要用到一年。就只是因为我是个底薪奴隶啊)跟寻找资料。我就进了这一架1938年制造的禄莱科德IIb。从网上得来:禄莱科德是弗兰克和海德克在1933-1976年之间最受欢迎的双反。禄莱科德是禄莱福莱便宜的版本。对象是一些初级摄影师。这比较便宜的禄莱科德用的是圆形旋转过片钮。不像禄莱福莱用的是摇柄。

我的那架禄莱科德的前方有着DRGM的字样 (Deutsches Reichs Geschmacks Muster).可能是代表德国在二战时期制造的吧。用的是蔡司75mm f3.5镜头。这架机在上片之后需要把那在右边的小银钮拉一拉。那过片记录就会从1开始算起。那小银钮通常都是在对焦钮后旁。可别把这颗银钮丢失了。

这禄莱科德可没有防快门重按或是说这架机可以重复多次曝光。

由其老机缺少照顾，我的禄莱科德取景器过暗。过片问题重重。不是重叠又或者是过多余的片。这是我的第一架双反，我也只用几次就把它卖了。它可是架简单又容易用的双反。若你有架老双反在家，建议你把它送去调理。由于长时间没用又收在比较干燥得地方，它的快门很容易卡着或快门也就变出慢门了。

迟些我想我会进架来玩玩。。。毕竟现在它的价钱不会很贵。最适合初学者。

Twin Effects = Twin Lens Reflex = TLR 双反效应

I was planning on to get this blog up days ago. But scratching my head to get a name which is easy to remember at the same time related to what I am going to blog. So, the first person who I can think of and help me out... my lovely wife. She is full of ideas and inspirations. She is my walking wikipedia and dictionary most of the time.

So she has came out with Double Happiness and Twin Effect (both names was taken in blogspot). Double and twin similated to the Twin Lens Reflex which has 2 lenses. Happiness and effect which is the feeling of fun, happy and unforgetable while you are using the TLR.


I am lucky that the Twin Effects still available and couldn't waste a second to get it registered. I am going to share about what I have read, learnt, seen and experienced with the TLR. And of couse, I will keep buying and selling the different TLR at the same time. It seems like e-business by using blog, facebook and etc are quite common and convenience nowadays. 在N日前，突发奇想。想来个双反相机部落客。不过要来个容易又跟这双反有关联的名字难上加难。当我在抓着头皮想不出个所以然来时，却想到有个人可以帮我。那就是我那满脑都是创意跟鬼主意的老婆大人。她可是我的词典跟字典哦。

她想到两个名字。那就是双喜或是双效应。双就是代表那双反。喜跟效应都是使用双反时带来的无穷的快乐与回味。不过啊。。。这两个名字在这里已经被其他人使用了。所以啊，我就在那双效应的后面加个s字。而且还没有人使用。我马上就注册了这个名字。之后接下来的就是我会在这里跟大家分享我对双反的认识，经验等。当然我也会在这里做个小买卖。在这个高科技时代里使用部落客跟面子书等来做选传等买卖也是个不错又方便的捷径。若你对双反感兴趣而想要拥有架来玩玩。那就请留言跟你的联络方法。我会尽我所能来满足你对双方的欲望。
